Senior Product Manager

Role overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Product Manager to join our dynamic team at iDen2. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in product management, with deep expertise in Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) and decentralized identity systems.

You will lead the development and execution of our product roadmap, driving innovative solutions that align with our mission to deliver secure, scalable, and user-centric identity products.

Key responsibilities

• Define and prioritize the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for iDen2's decentralized identity solutions in alignment with company goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, design, marketing, and business development to ensure seamless execution of the product roadmap.
• Identify market opportunities and customer needs in the SSI and decentralized identity space to guide product development.
• Lead end-to-end product development, from ideation and requirements gathering to launch and iteration.
• Work closely with engineering teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and interoperable identity solutions based on decentralized protocols.
• Define and document detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for SSI and decentralized identity features.
• Ensure products comply with relevant standards, including W3C DID, Verifiable Credentials, DIF standards, eIDAS, GDPR, and CCPA.
• Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather feedback and validate product-market fit.
• Act as the voice of the customer within the organization, advocating for user-centric design and functionality.
• Build relationships with industry partners, standards bodies, and decentralized identity communities to drive adoption and interoperability.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of trends in SSI, decentralized identity, and blockchain technologies.
• Define and track key performance indicators to measure product success and user adoption.
• Mentor and guide junior product managers or team members to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of product management experience in a technology-driven environment.
• Proven expertise in Self-Sovereign Identity, decentralized identity systems, or related fields such as blockchain-based identity or digital credentials.
• Experience working with decentralized protocols, such as Decentralized Identifiers, Verifiable Credentials, or blockchain-based identity solutions.
• Deep understanding of SSI principles, decentralized identity frameworks, W3C DID, Verifiable Credentials, Hyperledger Indy/Aries, and related standards.
• Familiarity with blockchain technologies and their application to identity management.
• Knowledge of cryptographic concepts such as public/private key infrastructure and zero-knowledge proofs.
• Experience with API design and integration, particularly for identity-related services.
• Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly product features and requirements.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in product management tools and agile methodologies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote, and globally distributed team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience working in a startup or high-growth technology company.
• Contributions to open-source projects or communities in the SSI or decentralized identity space.
• Familiarity with privacy regulations and their implications for identity solutions.
• Experience with user experience design principles and usability testing for identity products.
• Knowledge of adjacent technologies such as distributed ledger technologies, smart contracts, or secure multi-party computation.
